The School Boy

The school boy in the poem is not a happy child.What make him unhappy ? Why does he compare himself to a bird that live in a cage ,or a plant that withers when it should blossom.

[kavita mein skool ka ladaka khush nahin hai. use kya dukhee karata hai? vah apanee tulana us pakshee se kyon karata hai jo pinjare mein rahata hai, ya ek paudhe se jo us samay murajha jaata hai jab use khilana chaahie.]•

      "I love to rise in a summer more,

    When the birds Singh on every 🌲 tree;

The distant Huntsman winds his horn,

        And the skylark sings with me.

               O! what sweet company."

"But to go to school in a summer more,

             O! it drives all joy away;

         Under a cruel eye outworn,

      The little ones spend the day ,

          In sighing and dismay."

    " Ah! than at times I dropping sit,

 And spend many an anxious hour.

 Nor in my book can I take delight,

        Nor sit in learning's bower,

 Worn thro' with the dreary shower. "

 " How can the bird that is born for joy ,

             Sit in a cage and sings .

  How can a child when fears annoy,

          But droop his tender wing,

       And forget his youthful spring. "

 " O! Father and mother, if buds are nip'd,

            And blossoms blown away,

      And if the tender plants are strip'd 

       Of their joy in the springing day ,

           By sorrow and cares dismay, "

" How shall the summer arise in joy ,

      Or the summer fruits appear? "

 mujhe garmiyon mein uthana adhik pasand hai,

jab har 🌲 ped par parinde sinh karate hain;

door baitha vyaadh apana seeng bajaata hai,

aur skaeelaark mere saath gaata hai.

he! kitanee pyaaree sangat hai.

 lekin garmiyon mein adhik skool jaane ke lie,

he! yah saare aanand ko door kar deta hai;

ek kroor nazar ke neeche ghisa hua,

chhote bachche din bitaate hain,

aah aur niraasha mein.

aah! kaee baar main baithana chhod deta hoon,

aur kaee chintaajanak ghante bitaate hain.

na hee main apanee pustak se prasann ho sakata hoon,

na hee vidyaapeeth mein baitho,

neeras bauchhaar se thak gaya.

jo pakshee aanand ke lie paida hua hai, vah kaise ho sakata hai?

pinjare mein baitho aur gao.

jab dar sataata hai to bachcha kaise pareshaan ho sakata hai,

lekin usake komal pankh ko jhuka do,

aur usake yuva vasant ko bhool jao.

aur phool ud gae,

aur yadi komal paudhon ko chheel diya jae

basant ke din mein unakee khushee ka,

duhkh aur chinta niraasha se,

greeshm rtu kaise aanand se utpann hogee,

ya garmiyon ke phal aate hain?
